Mass Effect 3 Rant
I really, really want to be excited for Mass Effect 3… but I absolutely loathed ME2. ME 1 was one of my favorite games of all times… then they went and changed everything. They took away variety of armor and weapons, they changed the basic game mechanics, they took away open world exploration, they made the entire game about gathering a team when the first game seamlessly incorporated team building into a thrilling storyline. Throughout the whole game I was left feeling disappointed. I had hoped for an RPG that would be equal to or greater than the first. Instead, I got what felt more like a shooter with some customization and I got to choose the order in which I did the missions.
I played it anyway. I enjoyed some of the characters, but I still hate the game. I really hope that ME2 was more of a “filler”, than anything. I really want to like ME3.
